Anticipation of the New Maps
What else has been confirmed as maps being added into rotation/tournaments/possibly spliting into 2 main maps?
[i'm pretty excited, new maps is going to be a pretty big play motivator]
[would be cool if they started a new main map from scratch, but i don't think we have the player base to support another map yet]
Confirmed thus far:
Death Valley

-submitted by atelo
Metropolis

I actually liked Europe just a smidge better, Metropolis is still a sick map though. It'll make for some interesting raid takes.

yeah still a bit confused why some maps won, but lets give it a try anyways. sr's map is deff interesting to play.
ruins will be prettty sweet, just like des but with a bit more quicksand for eq to build up.
best icemap ftw

Yeah ruins will be interesting. With the extra water. Its not equal to rocks becaude it doesnt have the pathways for ferries to wander off so i think thats a plus.

yeah for real metropolis not a map im going to enjoy playing. Tons of water on the outskirts and majority of the map is all 1/2 pixel pathways with thick ass squared rocks. I guess it will be cool to take mobs and force everyone to shoot missiles.
Ruins is nice was one of my favs since the start of this contest. If canada was named alaska it would have won no doubt.

I foresee Ruins being a community favorite.
Metropolis will have a lot of deactivations because of the tight maneuvering spaces. It will be like fighting in the outer rim of maze. Missiles are there for a reason and I will most likely enjoy emptying my entire inventory in a 4-1. The water is entirely snipeable which is another plus. I'm willing to give it a shot. Duals won't be the primary emptying in a raid factor I gather.
Maybe Crazy Waters will make that cut. We shall see.

What were the other confirmed maps that are going to be added?
Thank you el for being the only one on pointing out that even tho there is a decent river rounding the map it is all 100% snipe able at almost any angle.. Its different, thats mainly why I made it. Its not a conventional bf type map were all used to.

Quite welcome. I accentuate the positive man, you know me. It doesn't really matter what map as long as I can take a raid, I'll be fine.

I think my raid taking style will thrive in Metropolis. I try to drive more then I tele (it's 1 turn to drive compared to 2 to tele port).
Mines will have a huge influece on who lives or dies. Can't wait to play it.

They are being very indirect with me. when i first emailed them, they said they liked "all" of my mapz and ask me to choose a different name for the one above. i sent them a 2nd email to see if theyre planning on using any other map of mine. havent gotten a response yet. but they responded to another email about something else i sent after.

Kyle, I think the one with the tank in it won. That's just my guess though.

They're probably so inundated with emails they have trouble responding to all of them. I try not contacting them unless it's urgent. I remember the BF dev's were overrun with constant bitching emails, I'd rather them not see my name and just hit the delete button.
