Let's Talk About TOURNAMENT DIE DOWNS - ELEMENTS

I just had a conversation with my teammate Constantine who accidentally died - would of cupped. But thats not the issue. The issue is the ELEMENT's decided to raid him upon his re entry..he still had a chance. If Hays and others want to cry about free kills and die downs. LOOK AT YOUR OWN TEAM CHASING AFTER THEM LIKE A PACK OF WOLVES. I was in and I witnessed it. No one on the element roster from this point on has any room in speaking on die downs. Cleary you wanted them.

I thought it was common sense to jump on any idiot trying to re enter a tourney after he died. With that said Yeah iv died before and tried to re enter thinking I still had a chance. For instance dieing with full sheilds or 15 minutes into the game.

Regardless if someone dies and re enters, that person is a target dont play dumb Zenta you know it, everyone knows it. Your teammate should have marathoned the field to shake them.

This is a pointless post, this is no way the same thing as cheating or getting die downs. Not to mention everyone except 2 or 3 players chase die downs so to call someone out on that is just ridiculousness considering most the player base would attack a player in that situation.

He died with full shields.

I am saying Every tournament I won, I have been accused of it being full of cheating due to die downs. I am not here to deny anything. HE SAID BRB BRB BRB and even quit. They did not stop.

If a person dies and you immediately pursue them upon entry. You are seeking a free die down kill. The whole elements team just did that.

I am not here to make any case. It is a fact. If a person dies and you chase them after they re-enter even with them saying BRB BRB, you are seeking a free kill.

I mean we're talking about the elements. Those guys can't win cups anyway so what the fuck does this post mean honestly. :bowrofl:

I saw Constantine saying brb too and he deserved the right to be left alone after making the mistake of dying with full shields. I wouldn't have guessed a well known team would ever play like that. Kind of disappointing... :clueless:

What the fuck Zenta. I liked you but this is a shit post. I didn't even play the tournament but everyone knows if a guy re-enters, he's going to be a target. Especially in an ice tourney where there's not much chance that he'd be able to survive unless he got a ferry. The only time I've died and re-entered in an ice tourney is when I knew exactly where a ferry was. Otherwise it's pointless.

Quit crying and don't die in a tourney if you want a chance to cup.

There was a big chance to still die after dying with full shields - where talking about iceland, land was dry as fuck. He was refilling, you cant pick up bags of equipment and be full on fuel in iceland typically. So hes filling not expecting to get butt fucked since for the first 2-3 minutes in no one had harmed him but then 3 oranges, all elements hop on him. He said BRB numerous times. They did not back down. They went as far as to say Lame! It's just astounding to me because I've seen individuals from that team say "Oh another cheat infested die down tournament", yet look who the suspects were today. It KINDA annoys me.

At the end of the day I honestly don't care because to be honest that tournament was lame as fuck. All iceland tournaments consist of tons of water fighting etc. It's stupid. I feel bad for Hopeful Solo who didn't get the all important kill he needed. I felt bad for Constantine, this is my argument, not his as it's not worth speaking about the obvious wrongs. So put all your hatred toward me if you feel I am in the wrong here.

003, Your not the first person that said to me on here you liked me up until an opinion I voiced. A lot of people in this community are very timid when it comes to voicing their opinions. I don't know if its because they don't want to cause arguments, their afraid to hurt their reputation, whatever the reason may be. We've discussed it in the past, and I wont say any names but there is definitely players in this community who are afraid to speak publicly about topics that could harm their "image". I just tell it how it is and so

There's nothing wrong with not letting people refill in tournaments after they die.

There's nothing wrong with not taking a raid in tournaments.

There's nothing wrong with tagging the mob.

If you die and still think you have a chance at cupping, you just fill as you run from the raid. It's almost like saying you shouldn't try to kill noobs because they're not as good at taking raids. As long as you're not coordinating raids using external means, everyone is fair game.

What does bother is that people don't think logically. If you try to raid someone who looks unlikely to die regardless of mob size, break off. Don't just chase them around the map. It's just plain annoying when you're trying to hoard points to catch up/create a gap and you have to deal with a 9v1 for 15 minutes. Not only does the target not accomplish anything, the raiders don't rank up either and fall way behind in points.

tournament play and game play are completely different zenta... I will never respect anyones "brb" message in a tourn because im trying to win... Gameplay is different ill let you fill if u say it.

The views of the community are quite alike in regards to this issue, what i thought we snubbed out was the teams playing mass colors..

Stupid post everyone knows if you die and you step back into a trny you automatically become a main target, period. Don't throw this bullshit on an entire team when I've seen so many instances occur.

Alright, I just wanted to make it clear.

I will withdraw my statement and say that it is FAIR to chase any target that has just died if they re-enter. (therefor there is no such thing as a tourney die down free kill.)

There is a clear difference between killing someone who is trying to survive but is unable to due to reduced equipment from an earlier death and killing someone who is playing with the intent of dying to an individual or group of players.

You can't even ATTEMPT to say that line is blurred in any way, shape, or form if you're not being dramatic and pouting about being disagreed with.

This entire argument could be ended simply:

CONSTANTINE'S DEATH WAS NOT A DIE DOWN

obvious when someone is "dying down".
a die down is when a player goes up to another player with the purpose of dying to that guy, then perhaps coming back and doing it a couple more times. Now I don't think he was trying to "die down". We frown down upon people who "die down".

It seems he's just upset people went after him after he died, which everyone does.

there is nothing wrong about raiding someone after they die, or raiding in general. No one gets a free ticket.

"Is the player attempting to remain competitive?"

No? Die down. Yes? Legit.

inb4 outlandish example which you can still examine strictly on the basis of that question.

pretty much apologized? There is no such thing, you either do or you don't. If someone like Zenta truly wants to talk shit on players like Willy and Aluminum, something is BAAAAD wrong. Throw all the shit you want my way, I can get a good laugh out of it, but those two players are 2 of the better players in this community.

For example, one tourney where I cupped silver, Wardog died 3 times. But he wasn't dying down because he would never do that to me. He was obviously trying to remain competitive :hump:

I could keep going with this but in reality there's no point. To some people, I could of in actuallity he could of just been dying down if someone didn't know better....

Oh yeah... The tournament where I was battling for 1st pph with UNBREAK before I froze and died to a clusterfuck mob and was still top 3 pph after I refilled?

Clearly not competitive.

tl:dr

All I will say about this is: if some type of game-play is appropriate in tournament "marathon, mob tagging, equipment thievery, whatever the fuck" then you might as well just bite the fucking bullet and suck it up; you just made it legit in regular play also, KENNY, EVERYONE. To justify "playing like a faggot" because you are "trying to win" is absolutely no different than myself or any other player justifying any style of play against the "unwritten code." Basically you guys single people out and cause problems continuously because you are a bunch of raging assholes. Then you run off at the mouth about how it's to improve the game and make players better. Fucking morons, the lot of you.

This.

If the person who dies marathons the way they are supposed to upon re-entry, to make people not sacrifice their pph for a hopeless kill, then they should have no problem surviving.

Expect to be targetted. A weak target is a weak target. It's a tournament, every man for himself...people don't care what your equipment looks like. If I see a possibility to kill someone out of the top 3 to give me a better chance to cup, by god I'm going try.

Lefty, I expect more brains out of you I guess. The main map isn't going anywhere the map goes on 24/7 now in the other hand you have a tournament which only lasts an hour, maybe 2, either way there's a limit. What kind of moron says okay ill give him a chance to refill and blow my chances of getting a kill out of the water. That's just dumb and idiotic of you to even argue this. There's a time limit in a tournament its not time to respect peoples fill and let them fill after dying. Regular maps are different because the map isn't ending you can let the guy fill he can take again without any problem. Its sad to even explain the reasoning in which you don't get. Tournaments are about getting points and getting kills in a certain time span. It should be understood how some people try to capitalize in killing easy targets in tournament play. He entered at his own risk. Fucking morons, the lot of you.

Tournament play varying from regular gameplay exists in many games/sports outside of TP: Tournament poker plays completely differently from a regular poker table at a casino. You overlook walks and double-dribbles in dunk competitions. Tournament fishing is not even remotely like what most people do. Those are a couple diverse examples, but the list is endless.
