Tournament Guide and Tips
Tournament champs,
Please try to construct a how-to-cup guide. Include strategies, time spent filling, When to fill, or anything else that comes to mind that might be helpful for anyone who hopes to win a cup. Anyone who has any tips is welcome to contribute. Some of us (and by "us" I mean mostly me) can use all the help we can get
let's keep the flaming away from this thread please. One should be able to scroll down and find that each post is a tip or some sort of guidance. If this is a duplicate topic, please point me to the original.

If you search the word tournament guide on the forum I know there are a handful of useful lengthy guides on this forum. Mjk's tourney bible comes to mind immediately. Also go to the old battlefield tournament section and there is lots of stuff there!

Those guides helped me win my first two cups but it took plenty of tries. To be honest it takes some luck to win a cup but if you follow these tips you'll be in the running for a cup atleast.

Thanks for digging that up 003, very helpful.
I guess the area I struggle with is pphing vs chasing kills. Once i get enough points for captain, I immediately start chasing. That equates to dropping in pph, and add to that the free kills and die downs in every single tournament, I end up not ranking, and with a low pph.
Also, these guides assume major=cup, per the old playbf and battlefield standards. That is virtually never the case in tankpit, so while the main principles of winning may be the same, there are some gaps there between what it takes to cup in tankpit vs. What it took to cup in the days of old.

I think cheating was easier in battlefield. Its just more noticeable in tankpit because tankpit has few players.

do not follow mjk's tourney bible, it will set you back years. It was a decent guide for newbs back in the day, but it is very outdated now.

Even if its outdated I think the basics are still there.
