Lol I didn't take it negatively more like just blunt. Also come get me is universal but I see that as being very confusing. Using aim is probably the best solution. I don't see the big deal with aim. And this is why, anyone at any moment could go invisible on aim and just fake being off line. Yes I see the point aim causes mobs or whatever but its so easy to fake being off line its only giving the players that actually sign off a disadvantage. But they are probably at a disadvantage anyway considering they arnt in a mob chat.

The idea sr proposed was basically the unspoken ways during the last bit of battlefield, and it worked. However, talking about it, and making it known that it is accepted is just another way of saying freekills are legit for legit players.

Die downs, freekills, its all the same. You don't plan it but shit, if you turn it down you're only screwing yourself. But if we start doing this, then newbies will never cup unless they can bink a 95+ exp.

Sylar, we have two perm options. Make it so the faggots will never want to cheat again (raiding them), or let them cheat. The solution to give free kills to the highest exp might not be enough. If someone has fks lined up, all they have to do is pph. or have people just let them shoot them. The mobbing idea is a way to fix it unless players are like you and care too much to miss out on a cup or two. Hell, you can still cup with this technique.

Didn't read all the replies yet, but to savin's OP...WOW . Retarded idea. As El said, it'll only make things worse in the long run, and as UB said you can't always effectively combat a 4-man cheating team due to EQ kills and such.

I can't vote for either since the 'yes' option is retarded and the 'no' option only works if I have another good idea; I do not. The best idea I can think of is to ban the what's his name+friends, pavans, and any others who's sole intention are to ruin tourneys. I don't think there are any solutions that would be completely effective as over-policing would just lead to different problems.
As much as a lot of people hated it, the FK detection system that uTanks implemented was one of the best thing for tournaments. Sure it had its flaws, there's no doubt about it. The positives it brought greatly outweighed the negatives though. I really wish it would have been further supported and undergone some type of ongoing development process to reach it's maximum potential.

As for a "HERE AND NOW" fix however, I don't think there is one. Tournaments are what they are. Just play and have fun. You can't win em all. You're going to get screwed by cheaters a lot of the time, you're going to get your own random die-downs sometimes and get accused of cheating cause of it (see: lefty vs kylemac), and on rare occasions you're going to get really lucky and nail two legit kills to pull off something special. It is what it is. Enjoy them for what they are and try not to let the bullshit bring you down or make you rage too much.

As I am all for the fucking over of the cheaters, I will never accept a free kill by any standards or conditions going on within the tournaments. To me thats a dirty cup and nothing i want to be apart of.

I think the mobbings a solid idea and makes the most sense. Since everyones pretty much on blast chat, someone who can verify the tank taking the FK can be called out just once and time to rape.

Giving free kills to top pph is just garbage and would fuck over other players who are good but not consistent, or ever top pphers. Rank comes into play alot with people winning cups at times because its rank over pph.

lets say the cheater has 89Exp and is a major in for gold where two players at major who played legit are sitting at like 80 and 76 exp at major. giving free kills to top ppher to get the cheater out of gold, you now have 3 players with cups with free kills versus one player who cheated for gold, and 2 players who played legit but didnt have the pph to maintain a top spot being fucked out of their cups.

Mob the cheater is the only solid option here imo.

okay so it wasn't sylar. Apparently Zenta felt iCheat cheated so he went to die down on NowiwoN's screen in hopes that he would get the kill. I guess I can't really blame kyle for that. He was lieut in 16 minutes and re-filled on equipment nicely via regulator. Those 7 duals must have really made 10% difference considering shing is every bit as good at pph and had a 6 minute fill.

Shings idea to fix tournament is to not grant equipment on a deactivation. This would discourage cheating immensely - everyone would only ever have the equipment they gathered themselves. Wouldn't stop ranking kills to major and also removes the advantage gained by legit kills.
