Don't worry guys I'm totally open to talk about this. This was only my 3rd TP tourney, if there is some protocol on how to deal with unplanned/spontaneous/random (whatever you like to call it) fk's let me know.

Now, as for what to do when random people deposit to you. You're suggesting I go die down to a bot after taking the kill. Does anyone else agree with this? I think this would be kind of hard to orchestrate; what if while I'm trying to die down someone else comes and kills me? Then things would become even more illegitimate. Believe me, if there is a way to "give back" unplanned fk's I'm willing to hear it; but I don't think dying down to a bot is the answer.

kirby you did fine. As far as I'm concerned I don't give a shit what you do in tournaments period. But I think everyone else is happy as long as you don't plan fk's. People depo here and there in pretty much every tournament. Someone is going to get lucky off it. For once I had kill luck in a mob for captain, and a total moron died for my lieut kill. You sweated me pretty hard there. I was sure you would be ahead of me and I was like, ahh fuck when I saw you get a kill. I guess using my singles and armor shields for the last 3 mins was enough, barely.

I was the only person who cupped without taking a fk in that tourney. Hows that for turning the table? It's a competition. Almost everyone would take the kill if some random person deposits for them. It's like kirby said, if you don't snatch it up someone else will, then all you get for 'playing SUPER TDK LEGIT' is to finish outside the top3 for no reason.

yea, it's a partial solution. It makes it less appealing I guess, for planning fk's. Oh wait no, you can still just sit somewhere and have ur buddy do a long ass teleport onto you. One shot death, like TDK. ROFL

It fixes nothing and would be a total waste of time to apply to the game.

If somebody depo's to me I am going to take it. Its me or somebody else. Like sean said he would leave in disgust but myself, I don't think I would to be honest, I didn't plan anything and I would just tell it like it is, exactly how kirby has.

You did nothing wrong kirby, sucks to feel bad about cupping. If I was high up in the #'s then I bet those guys very well could of chose me instead or anybody else for that matter. It sucks that people do this but it is going to happen regardless so I think its ether my easy kill or somebody else's. I think sean has the right idea though, quit after a free kill. If its a die down though, play on since the die down is usually in a mob and you have the right to that kill since everybody else in the mob is trying to get it for themselves.

I look forward to a legit fun tourn, I don't think we will have many of those with the players who play now. It would be good if there was certain tourns that only players with 100hours on their tank could enter. I don't think anybody with 100hours + freekills or dies down. Apart from lefty lol but after speaking to him daily, he will be legit in tourns like he proved today. Lets hope it stays that way.

Helping a team-mate could be pivotal to your victory. What if you're the only major, and a lieut ur color is stuck. You can save him and prevent an enemy from getting promoted. Also, check the other post where I already found the loophole is blocking fuel deposits. The fk can just long port onto the guy anyway and its probably more effective than a depo anyway. I'm all for the game being improved or whatever. But the way I see it there is nothing wrong with the way it is.

Also, there have been 1-2 occasions where wikidz have helped each other with a depo when the same colour to stop eachother from dieing. I don't think it will be missed if it is taken out though. I'll see what I can do.

Random tourn entry, take out depo for tourns. 100% improve tourns, no doubt about that. Will not stop the faggots playing like shit, but will make it harder for them and more enjoyable for others.

also, i specifically don't like the option of depositing fuel as a way to help out a teammate because there was one tournament where i got royally fucked by this. i had some kid stuck with insufficient on an island, and then he hit his buddy up on teamspeak and had him deposit which prevented me from killing him. i know there was cooperation involved because they both came on here after the shit ended and laughed about it, and probably got sexually aroused as a result. point is, it would've been a kill for major and i got fucked out of a cup because of that shit.

Listen to you guys there are so many assholes in this thread its retarted. Lets quit with the fighting and figure out a way to make tourneys more legit.

Also is sean987 good yes, is he better than tdk maybe, but tdk has how man legit cups? Tdk plays legit he takes raids he gives raids. No one should be attacking him even if he called out shady play. Hell 987 calls someone out every tourney just about.

Lefty only played 2 shady tourneys that anyone is aware of and now that hes gold im sure he wont need questioned again. Lefty is less shady than a few people in thks thread probably.

Lastly i have no plans to respond any further i just felt the need to jump in and defend a team mate. I dont like posting here and tdk i hope you follow my lead and get away from this place before it ruins the game for you. :goldcup:

Well if anyone should be mad about lefty's tourny play, it should be me. Him dying to Liquified bumps me out of gold. Him taking fakes bumps me out of silver. People are still going to be upset and it will take some time of legit play for lefty to be respected.

Doing lots of wrong and then doing one thing right doesn't erase what you have done. I do congratulate you winning fairly. I hope this trend continues.
