edit: its been unanimous dying down is frowned upon in all respects.
so mobbing anyone who takes the free kill has become the new topic. however this idea still has holes as viper katzman has mentioned..

is there any other fix? or is emailing the tankpit dev's and letting them know we aren't going to play tournaments until shits fixed the only way to go about all this as sylar mentioned?

Sounds pretty gay to me. How about everyone stops being so selfish during tournament. Team captains pick players to make 4 squads and we have 4 raids going on throughout the tournament.

Also quick side comment, what's his name missed the Crazy Waters tournament - his first absence in a while. And what happens? Kylemac just cheats for a golden cup anyway. I almost rather what's his name just took another one.

So while someone sets up their free kills like what's his name, you want 4 squads to give up pph'ing and go for a raid on another team for rank? Won't work, legit people will drop off in their pph'ing trying to get a kill.. Meanwhile what's his name and Co. will be pph'ing and he'll get his kill timely as always.

This is just my opinion of course. Ii'm open to all ideas at this point, because I know tankpit isn't going to help us at all.

Actually there would be 3 organized teams that aren't jays color. All three team captains could make him the target and suddenly there is a 15 man mob making him quit the tournament well before he gets a chance to fk to major. My solution is the best anyone will come up with.

Making teams for tournament is more of an idea than just "mob what's his name"

But yea, I agreed with UNBREAKABLE that raiding him is the most viable solution. You basically just said lets cheat more than him because he cheats. Isn't that the argument you and atelo have been trying to crush? Cheating doesn't warrant more cheating. If we make teams then a majority of players are on level ground. Equal number of team-mates and everyone is in their own chat-room. The only people you are in contact with during tournament are the same color as you and it's the best set up for forcing what's his name out of contention.

not everyone is on aim, and also coordinating teams every tournament would be a nightmare. we can try it though it you guys feel its a viable solution?

you do realize that your buddy icheat cheated right? lol. why don't you go talk to him since he's one of the sources of the problem.

tbh I don't care what most of you do. Making a tournament team is my solution and I'm gonna try it out regardless. 5 man squad next tourney I play if I can get them all online for it. See you guys on the field.

this doesn't eliminate fks. guys with fks are still gonna win, probably have a bigger advantage because you're not gonna get good pph raiding in tourneys.

I didn't know he took a free serg. Read the crazy waters tournament thread for all related details - unless it's been modified by okisme to just say I'm a princess again. I could have helped shing win gold so easily that tournament. Like I said elsewhere I wanted to watch him win legit gold. His lieutenant kill was 3v1 on demigodz. Still, it doesn't excuse igneel or kylemac. They both cheated to try and force a victory that wasn't theirs fairly.

Just talk to josh for this. We used to raid tourney with ops and top pph every time.

Even though raiding will reduce your pph - being raided is even worse. And with a majority of players raiding, those who aren't will naturally be targets. It would be very difficult to hide from all 3 enemy teams for the entire hour AND rank unnoticed in a winning position. Virtually impossible.

Ftr, I've received about five free kills from randoms in tournaments and I've either not been able to get points to rank for whatever reason or I've quit the tournament.

As for a here and now solution you are proposing, it's a double edged sword. Justifying free kills to the top PPH because others plan to cheat every tournament is a temporary solution. In the long run I see this method just making things worse. I personally like the mobbing method; ie if someone gets a freebie, run them and the people who give them out of the map and be relentless about it.

Edit: Also, the last rocks tournament I played, all AoW went blue and there was almost zero opportunity to cheat. We didn't coordinate raids from aim during the tourney, just in game messages. It just so happens we raped everyone opposite blue. I am not opposed to doing this every time, bitching about it be damned. It's the closest way to playing everything straight I can think of given the current circumstances. I'm sure whoever played in that tournament remembers it well.

Regardless to it being lefty that saying it, he does have a point, you don't fight fire with fire. Cheating because they cheat doesn't solve anything, this was already proven by bluntz a few times before. Top pph wins why? Regardless to you saying don't die down to friends, there are plenty that will do this anyway for reasons they will explain later when this spirals out of control. Last i checked unbreak's idea never became a motion as this is the first time im hearing about it. Don't knock it before you try it, this idea of yours has already been tried, and if this is where tournaments are gonna be heading from now on, I don't see a point even taking part in it anymore.

pph wont work, Cheaters can still get equip kills. Less fill time = better pph

For people that know they cant win at some point in the tournament, just quit trying to look good by finishing top10, 15 or what not, just fight the cheaters. This may not be fair actually, that's like saying let the consistent top pph people keep going at it, while the not so good pph people go mob.

If TP doesnt do anything, do your regular thing. But when you need a kill to rank and no noobs around, go gang rape the cheaters for your rank kill instead of legit minority colored players. I know some of you suckers are selfish and would rather mob the minority color for easy kill than going after the cheaters. Most likely, you guys will just turn on each other if one is spotted in dark shade during the cheater mob.

Anyways, I dont have any desire to win tournaments these days, its rather pointless. On the rare occasion when I do play, I will just play to mess with the cheaters, anyone is welcome to join.

i remember it i was one of the casualties, so you suggest coordinated mob color? so who gets to play mob color and who doesnt?

1st, didn't what's his name say this was his reason for cheating to begin with.
2nd, they gonna cheat no I gonna cheat. Yeah i made that sound stupid on purpose.
3rd. Most the people in the thread probably already cheated (my bad had an unplanned free kill) so lol

4th, I will continue to play every tourney I am in legit and when I win I will be happy with that.

My idea, quit being greedy with cups. Don't take free kills don't accept free kills set a fucking standard like eldawg51 and a few others. Yeah so you might miss out on a few cups big deal a lot of you are already holding several cups already. No this idea isn't going to eliminate cheating, to be honest I don't ever expect it to go away. Id like to see it go down to one out of two tourneys everyone plays legit. I cant even believe I read this thread. Seriously lets all cheat to stop teh cheaters is so stupid and your not the first to suggest this idea and im not the first to say its stupid. But for the record what's his name also thought this was a good idea.

Atelo, you have a team, could you just coordinate color pre-tourney? Sign off when it starts? We had four or five I'm not sure I'll have to go back and check using the added google tourney search :).

It doesn't take many really, and I think it will balance things out and if someone cheats, takes or gives a fk, I say again mob the bastards.

I think 10 "Lame!"s should be enough to see they cheated. Let's not be wild though because, if the kill a known noob to have low eq or a respectable player. Then, we don't have an issue. This is why I say we all use our respectable titled tanks for the next tourney. This way we know who is who. NO SECRETS.

Like el said follow the 20 tank mob. They'll quit. Then, do it again. You can't out tele then entire map hitting you late in the game.

BUT IF ALL ELSE FAILS AND THEY LEAVE TO NEVER COME BACK AND HAVE MADE MAJOR. the top 3 pph should be put ahead of them... minus the fact that someone else may have got a kill legit.

I literally sent them a thread that what's his name claimed he was going to cheat and that he already cheated. He said with his own words I cheated in such and such and I will be cheating in such and such. How is that not enough? I didn't even get an email responding back.

Like this whole thread. Use one of your respected tanks, the cup still counts towards your points and it doesn't make a difference either way. Also great point about newbs are still going to die down no matter what. But lets get one thing straight. yo17865 is not a newb, its a random tank. Its very easy to recognize a newb from a random tank. Newbs actually play on the field rarely do see random tanks on the field.

I believe it would, and the more that follow suit, it would be more significant. Seems to me like everyone just wants things handed to them rather than work for it. When did everyone get so lazy to play a game? Where's that tourny bible we used to worship and swear by back in bf days?

This is what i see:

Lets pph in tournys, because obviously lefty is doing something right in the main map since he's #1...with the added bonus that if we're deemed top notch by our peers, we wont have to worry about chasing kills because they'll come to us! Then we'll use the classic 'what's his name cheats tournys, so we cheat too' to justify it....SOMEHOW THIS IS A SOLUTION?

The only people defending this that i've seen are people looking for cup count, which i also think is pretty sad....
