Re: SHARKY
yes I remember him and I'm certain he played before that tank as well so his total # could be absurd.

Sharky played tankpit. He was around for a while. I'm sure there's several people here who could contact him and put this mystery to rest

i was probably around 2000-2250 total if you include tournaments, and i know there were people from my own era (and some who came later) who had more.
probably need at least 2500-3000 to be in the discussion for top 10.. seriously crazy to think how much we put into that game

talk about a tank with serious battlescars.
i knew it was something crazy but just seeing the evidence is insane. But you gotta lay down mad props to that shit though. true dedication to a tank and one without special awards.
bravo.

Bravo indeed.
Killed 1400 times though? Could he have sat for the majority of those hours? I left both of my main tanks in for heroic medals under a different color over a few nights. I'm sure someone with any amount of skill isnt going to die THAT much. expecially back then people were less prone to dying unlike todays raiding.
3 hours a day times 2 years comes out to about the same amount of hours. I've been dying about once an hour while taking raids but I'm also very rusty. I would think If I or anyone put 2300 hours on a tank and didn't die down on purpose on a daily basis they would have under 1000 deaths. I'm thinking he may have gotten a shiner sat 400 for rusty then played more? Just a possability.
Although Notorious TFS (I think was his name) was top 10 in Rox back in the day and died down weekly he would get to general and then purposly die down to corporal. He COULD have had around 1000 hours with 500 deaths.

scrap metal got his rusty at like 50...not the legit top 50 either
dont think he really got "decent" until a hundred or so hours after that...i remember teaching him the generals of getting pps and raiding etc.
then for awhile he had other people playing the tank...

I don't think he sat the tank, I had like 600 hours on cujo, with 500 deaths. Deaths are probably legit, mad dedication right there hour wise.

He never sat idle as far as I know, but he was never a PPH machine either. I had half those hours and 500+ deaths on Blackbird, so yeah those deaths are probably legit. Maybe some rage die downs?
Too bad they were shared hours and he can't take the credit for all of it.
