Beware of the Purple Mines

Postby eldawg51 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 8:02 am

I leave Metropolis this morning for ten minutes, and when I returned I had Apps flashbacks. This purple guy had the whole top section mined off. I destroyed it but if he had another hour it would have been a pain in the ass, especially after what I saw him do with ten minutes. Have fun, and Metropolis is a great map, ftr. :ph:

imo metropolis needs a certain amount of ferry acceptance. Playing on land is all dandy until you get fuel stockpiled in the entire river. Even with a few people faking it wont clear. The mob needs to go to the river and exhaust the fuel. It'd be quick with a target eating the fuel.

I noticed that last night, so I tried moving obstacles when filling so I could take a raid on the rocks to clear it out but someone kept moving them and blocking ferries and doubling up on the obstacles. I don't understand why people waste their time like that.

Edit: it stayed playable on land for a good 3 hours last night. It was a lot of fun.

yea, I was doing the same thing, putting the obby on fuel and unlocking ferries. It's BASEDGOD though who pretty much does it to the water in every map. All we need is a bit of general consensus that unlocking the water and putting obstacles near fuel is the best course of action. It only takes a few extra seconds per screen to unlock the water while you fill.

People don't do this already? I just took it as the common sense thing to do in every map.

Edit: I have been doing this since 2001. Haha it's not new but I guess people don't think of it or something?

honestly most people seem to basically mindlessly wander around the map. I can't even figure out what they are doing half the time.

Please explain? My tank is full of fuel sitting on 750 shooting doubles at blue tanks who go dark blue they move onto a tiny bit from their position onto no fuel and are loaded again? What do I do to kill another tank if they can refuel with being near any fuel??

I do this alot, I have full eq, and continue to go around the full map and just ER, then refill them as I go.

its all about personal choice brotha, to each their own.

As of last night, the purple mine disease spread to dez. I wish these people would find something else to do with their time...
