TankPit United Nations?

Postby invazn » Sun Aug 19, 2012 2:48 pm

I hear tons of complaining yet little to no real action. My suggestion is to coordinate unwritten rules' enforcement through teams. Teams are the best way to influence the masses.

The first few rules I would like to propose:

1. Any team that violates the rules will be enemies of the Union. They will be subject to unified multi-colored mobs comprised of every TPUN member that is in the field at the time. This applies to any individual player or even a team who's leader does nothing to fix it (e.g. wikidz).

2. No raiding a tank under the rank of Major (unless going for rank). This is to keep new players from getting discouraged.

3. Tournament cheating blah blah blah.

4. Any color-switcher will be multi-color mobbed.

5. Team raids are not to exceed 7 people (excluding team battles). Be mindful of tags.

6. Avoid raiding a single tank multiple times in a row. Exceptions to be made during team battles or if the target asks to be raided.

7. Don't move more than a few spaces on the screen when raiding someone in large numbers

If anyone/team is in violation of any of the rules, the TPUN teams on the field will set aside differences/team battles/raids and pursue the guilty party. Please post rule suggestions as well as if you wish to participate. Join as a team to support the ideals, an individual to act as a soldier for the cause, or both.

Teams:
1. Elements
2. Art of War

Members:
1. Willy
2. Hays
3. Killer12
4. cdub

Shit List:
1. Wikidz minus Depictionz

I've been for this for awhile, and have pursued and been pissing off the faggots(wikidz) for ages.
You know I'm down.

Those rules are fine. it basically targets the main sources of faggotry.

excuse me. I just wanted to throw this out there since Kevin and i were arguing about iti n blast chat, him what's his name and creationz are obviously delusional thinking that the wikidz are still an actual team... but since this happened and they did what they did i hear by announce publicly? since i guess i haven't that the wikidz are dis banned and are not a part of tankpit anymore. I will continue to play my tank as you guys can tell but its because its my tank and my own reputation with it...

so as much as possible please refrain from calling the faggotry of what's his name kevin and creationz a form of "wikidz". Thank you and i will be joining the union.

Some more rules I propose.

Any team found to be mobbing other teams apart of the TPUN will receive a warning to lower the numbers of raiders in the map. This number can be set at 7. So if there is 5 team members in and 4 tags in, this breaches the fair size of raiders and thus the team must drop numbers to create a fair playing field. This rule is void in cases of team battles, were typically numbers are matched with the opposing team.

Also, a team can only raid someone one time before that person is now exempt from being targeted. This rule is voided in cases of other team tanks being in (if youre on a team and on the team tank, your a target, period) and players asking for another raid via dyw or come get me or whatever.

Ill try and think of some more sometime in the future, but I feel these are fair.

I don't care if the people quit low or dodge raids. That does not ruin the game in the same way.

You don't have to participate. Hell, I don't even play the game anymore. Just trying to keep the game alive. This isn't my personal army..

This is a good idea Willy. In order to keep new players we need to allow them to enjoy the game. I'm all for it sign me up.

So this is what happens when 12 year olds grow up and play the same game later in life.

For the most part there is only a few solid players fucking shit up for us. Yeah they are active as hell and they are doing a damn good job at pissing everyone off. They tag, they steel kills constantly, they dont take, they cheat, its pretty damn bad. When I come in and I see these jokers I am usually instantly turned off to the game.

I dont care if I am mob killed, I dont care if I am killed over and over, none of that bothers me. But when I cant return the punishment because the only people fighting me either run, quit or switch to the dominant color thats not fun. Yeah kill me from Gen to sarg and then watch me drive around as lieut for the next 5 hours because I cant get a damn rank kill because their all running or quitting low.

The UN isnt a half bad idea but what are you going to do when these flip floppers switch to your color lol.

I like the idea Willy. I'm for it and was actually discussing using teams as a means to try to punish the color flippers last night. This UN thing seems kind of like an updated Tankpit Code of Conduct/a way to discourage faggotry. Sounds good to me.

What do some of the other team's leaders think?

P.S. Willy you should play again. :hammertime:

I remember discussing this in the aow chat alot. a set of rules that teams have to abide by just like individual players have a set of rules to follow. It seemed like ever since i started playing tp teams are exempt from so much shit we disallowed in utanks.

Well, since AoW already adheres to all of these rules go ahead and put us on the list

Idea for an additional rule:
- If you are going to drive while raiding someone, make sure the ONLY time you do it is when you are moving 2-3 spaces max. I'm tired of being driven on while raided, and a lot of respectable players are still doing it. I get at my team if I see them doing it and understand this hasn't been perfectly nailed into my team, but this should be a highly stressed aspect of this game. It lags the person taking the raid a ton and even the best raid takers have to burn like 10 shields when soemone makes even a medium sized move.

I tell my team always teleport while raiding unless the move is very small, I hope some of you guys have noticed our efforts. I actually think this issue warrants a topic to make it better known so I'm making one.

well if people had an open mind about situations and knew how the game was played they will see you actually making a POSITIVE impact on this. Being on a red team wont help with a red doucher unless u guys create another tank/team use main tank to mob the doucher with us. (long mover, marathoner, color switcher etc) I wouldnt expect shazzammy or trolfrog to understand this sorta thing anyways, rules are probably to complex to their liking.

Good idea. Communication would be a catalyst. Less annoying blast could be means of communication, the UN would have nothing to hide.

depending on the functionality, this idea might actually propel me to play more than 6 minutes and 36 seconds per month

we might also need to establish an envoy consisting of a body of individuals so that they can go to players' homes and summon them to a gathering where we can all file our complaints and grievances in the presence of all the members.

Well if we can get more teams to participate, each team can send a member to serve as an equal leader of the Union. So if 5 teams join, there will be 5 people (1 from each team) that will vote or take on other leadership roles to perpetuate the movement.

I don't mind what your doing here, its intentions are for the best.

Right now the biggest deterrent for newer players is getting mobbed at low ranks or just going against 1 mob color for long periods of time without having another map to play.

see this rage quit thread: viewtopic.php?f=132&t=16162

Its just not everyone will always be apart of bfunity is all I'm thinkin. Well have stuff in place that people who go off TankPit know nothing about lol.
