Apps!!
Love this freaking map! I helped clean out some of the ocean this morning for 45 minutes. Good ole idolize--BLUNTZ wouldn't get off his ferry so I was much obliged to chase him around shooting him for a while with Braveheart2. I wish I could put in an 8 hour day in that map.
I remember spending many hours sniping people who were ferry hugging. It was a 180 from when I used to do it myself and have MoD, Disaster Master, Zenta, Blacksheep1, CV and CV2 screaming 'lame' and 'my dog plays better than you' at me upon me entering the map and when I would run to water and they would still chase after me. I remember GOD and BABYBOY and BB2 speedhacking and rapid firing me all the time. I saw tr2ownsU fight back all the time against all those reds and NemiK and LogiK and I finally arrived at the conclusion there was more to this game and I was missing something. I remember talking to ratmben on Aim first, then NemiK, LogiK and Kevin. I asked them how in the heck do I get good at this game. Oh those were the days, the good ole days. Newb days were fun, and ignorance was bliss, but once I found Mike's raid taking guide and MJK's tournament bible, it opened up a whole new ball game for me. Here we are 12 or so years later, reliving the nostalgia of a time when this game was still brand new to me.
Playing in a map that I learned in that CKPA introduced to me brings back so many battles that I remember like it was yesterday. 'Run until you get good' is what he told me. My marathon play lasted 50 hours or so and I thought, 'how am I going to get better if all I do is run?' Dying quite often became frustrating for me as I was on dial up, and slower than everyone, but I'm glad I found all of you and it's because of people here that I found some skill. So thank you to everyone here and hope you enjoy my short story and the game still as much as I do. I'll hopefully get some more time soon to play, and I'll see you all on the field!

Apps is a map that requires obscene amounts of faking. I'm actually surprised that it would be your favorite regardless of any nostalgia. I always hated apps but it's definitely grown on me. It's the holy land for pph and being able to sneak off for small battles.

Babylon son! I'll be so fucking stoked if my map is chosen! I'll be just about as excited to play whatever is deemed the best. Fresh stomping grounds.

It doesn't really require obscene amounts if it's really active. You'd be surprised how fast a battle on water will clear it up. If someone would move all those obstacles off Cuba and disperse them into the Caribbean, it would be awesome because you can teleport pretty much everywhere then.
The only faking that takes place is in water and when it's 3-1 or less. You get 4 or 5 of each color in there, shit gets real fun. People will die or quit low, even in the ocean. Ftr my favorite map is desert, then apps and rocks. All the maps are fun when they're active though, even d6 was fun to take raids in.
I think I just look for the positives in the maps instead of bashing them and finding what's wrong. Whatever is available I find a way to make it fun.

I'm looking forward to all the new maps, as well. A few more days until they're unveiled!
